Australia Post Stamped Stationery

Pre-paid envelopes, pre-stamped envelopes and aerogrammes form the basis of Australian postal stationery. Postal stationery is an additional method for the honouring of special unique and National events and anniversaries. These could include such themes as any such outstanding state or federal architecture, scenery such as Uluru, overseas events that Australian citizens (both abled and disabled sports people) participate in such as the Pan Pacific Games or the Olympics state and national flags, emblems and insignia representing the states, territories and Commonwealth of Australia or even the Military and their tours of duty overseas. While Australia Post receives many requests which although valued, cannot for reasons known to Australia Post, be featured on individual stamps, and so are used, included onto pre paid envelopes which are not printed with specific dollar denominations. These pre-paid envelopes illustrate many themes as described above and will often include Australian native flora, fauna,

T he denomination as printed in the designated stamp area of a p re-stamped envelope is similar to that of pre-paid envelopes . The following criteria are applied by Australia Post in the selection of subject matter for pre-stamped and pre-paid envelopes:

1. All subject matter must be related to Australia and be of general interest and appeal to the Australian viewer.

2. 25 years or multiples of 25 years is the criteria for commerative anniversaries.

3. Commerative Conferences and/or Meetings may provide the subject matter for postal use provided they are held in Australia, have an international attendance and at least be of general interest and sponsored partly by the Australian government.

4. Providing that such anniversaries of an educational, professional, charitable or sporting organisation/s and institution/s actually commemorate the founding of such activities in Australia then as such they could be eligible for use by Australia Post.

Aerogrammes
Aerogrammes are issued every two years on an as required basis for postal needs. The Christmas postage stamped aerogramme is issued yearly.
